And the answer is.....

1610 on your AM radio dial brings you 24 hour weather forecasts and emergency weather bulletins. LCRA rebroadcasts the NOAA Weather Service from a transmitter at Mansfield Dam, making it available to most Lake Travis residents. In addition to the NOAA information, LCRA periodically inserts lake level and water temperature information.
Be sure to set one of radio dial buttons on your car radio as well as a home receiver to 1610 AM.

For residents who live right on the lake, it is a good idea to have a special NOAA weather radio receiver, capable of receiving NOAA broadcasts directly and of automatically detecting special weather alerts. Information on selecting such a receiver can be found on NOOA's web site at http://www.nws.noaa.gov/nwr/nwrrcvr.htm
