VNA BOARD MEETING AUGUST 7, 2007

Meeting called to order at 7:11 pm.  Members present:  Ken Beck, Connie Curtiss, Anthony DeMichielli, John Schlotzhauer, Ryan Janda, Al and Judi Graci.

 

SECRETARY REPORT;  A synopsis of July meeting will be give in September.

 

MEMBERSHIP :  Balance of $2745.83.  One new member.  AD and KB discussed ways of bringing in new members with functions and at water meetings.

 

LAKE TRAVIS:  Water quality is good, 5 feet visibility, 82 degrees and as of tonight is at 682.27 feet.

 

WATER LINE THROUGH VOV:  No final deciscions have been made on this process.  Our goal is the look at and have compatible/acceptable  situations for our village/neighborhood.  (KEN, PLEASE FILL IN THIS PROCESS FOR ME. SINCE MY UNDERSTANDING ISN'T AS CLEAR AS YOURS.  THANKS CC)

 

Board discussed the Resolution to Support Alternate Water Supplies for COA. 

JS    made motion that we approve the resolution as written, accepted by AD.

 

JS said that Cafe Bleu and Blue Parrot have cleaned up from the flood and are now open for business.

 

ROADWAYS AND SAFETY:  no new information.  Board discussed road construction , issues of low water bridge, and the truck that overturned on L ime  Creek Rd.  All agreed that there are some dangerous possibilities that need fixing.

 

COMMUNITY RELATIONS :  no mail this time.  AB, who is on vacation, has taken two loads of clothes etrc. to Safe Haven. 

AB and KB are working the the ongoing 5 year plan re fire and emergancy services.
