VNA BOARD MEETING MAY 1, 2007

----- Members present: Al Blunt, Connie Curtiss, John Schlotzhauer, Jessica Janda, Ryan Janda, Anthony Demichielli, Judi Graci for Al.

Meeting called to order by AB, subbing for Ken Beck who was meeting with Austin's Mayor Wynn.

SECRETARY REPORT: Accepted as read.

TREASURER REPORT: Balance this month is $2735.83.

LAKE TRAVIS: JG reported that the Lake is at 669.95'. She said Lago Vista is adding some new water developments. Graveyard Point will have a new marina with 300 boats and a clubhouse.

WATER LINE IN VOLENTE: JG said that the VOV is working on zoning and ordinances for the village. The VNA Board and VOV officials are all working together to determine other possible water sites.

BUSINESS AND DEVELOPMENT: No new information at this tiime.

MEMBERSHIP: There were 88 paid memberships last year, and 52 this year.

ROADWAYS AND SAFETY: Board discussed construction on 2769, pot hole and shoulders on Navajo Pass. RJ talked about the problems re the construction on Anderson Mill Rd.

COMMUNITY RELATIONS: no new information.

SAFE HAVEN: AB said the Safe Haven people really appreciate our support. They need a new microwave oven, so if anybody has one to contribute, please contct Al Blunt. They also accept women's clothes.

ANNUAL MEETING RECAP: Board discussed catering problems and the excellent speakers at this meeting.

The Volente Chamber of Commerce wishes to join the VNA. Board discussed, and will come up with guidelines as to how to follow up with this request. RJ stated that the VNA website already has a place for businesses to be recognized.
