VNA BOARD MEETING JANUARY 04, 2005
Members present: Bob Mott, Al Blunt, Connie Curtiss, Susan Breyer, Ken Beck,
and new members Glen Radtke and Al Graci.
Meeting called to order at 7:05 pm.. New members AG and GR presented a
brief personal history of themselves. They were welcomed by the board.
Formally the members were appointed by the Board after being
nominated and approved.
SECRETARY'S REPORT: approved as read.
TREASURER'S REPORT:
Beginning balance of $3125.45. Three checks were written: $200 to
postmaster, $53.48 to Lonnie Moore and $65.51 to National Pen. Report was
approved as read.
BUSINESS AND DEVELOPMENT: Discussion on possibility of new restaurant and
small housing development being built in our area. AB gave us an update
on charity possibilities. Probably there will be two speakers next month
from Safehouse and ARC on how their organizations work.
MEMBERSHIP: no change from last month.
ROADWAYS: AB mentioned the rollover car accident that happend on Bullick
Hollow. Discussion followed. He will continue writing to the county
about this hazard.
Road signs were discussed. AB asked the Board if they were ready to be
street coordinators for their streets. AG's son Scott and his scout troop will
be happy to help with this project. This will probably involve delivery and
set up of the signs. For further info on signs contact Al Blunt or Lonnie
Moore.
COMMUNITY RELATIONS: AB read mail review of new developments in the
greater Volente area.
NEWSLETTER: Board expressed our thanks to Mary Pomplun for putting
together such a great newsletter. Kudos to you Mary....
Token pens will be given to new and newly paid VNA members this year.
