VNA Board Meeting April 6, 2004
Introductions of old and new board members were made.
Present: Al Blunt, Mary Pomplun, Bob Mott, Connie Curtiss,
Ken Beck, Susan Breyer. New members: Steve Allen and Mario
Guzman. An additional new member will be added to the
roster.
Board discussed the various committees and offices, and what
each one entailed. The resulting offices and committees
were formed.

MEMBERSHIP: Sue Breyer
Board discussed possible newsletter articles. Some of these
include a history of specific areas of Volente, information
on board members, including their phone numbers and email.
It was noted that the VNA Board meets the first 'Tuesday
of each
month, and all are invited to attend.
AB said he had received a notice of application filing by
the Commanche Ranch which includes 122.54 acres and 160 lots.
AB states this beginning process will continue to be
monitored.
AB also said that the City of Austin is having a traffic
signals open house on 04/15/04 from 3pm to 8pm. Held on the
third floor of 1 Texas Center building. The purpose being
for civilian input on traffic. MG will look into this, and
if appropriate for Volente area, will attend.
Board discussed Lonnie Moore's ongoing dedication and
expertise in running the Volente website. THANKS, LONNIE.

Board discussed roadways and bridges in the area and noted
Don Ward as a contact.
MP stated that the cost of the newsletter mailing was $91.77 ($41.67 postage; $50.11 copying). We have a balance of $25.37 at the post office.
AB thanked the Board for their help at annual meeting.
Question was asked about any action taken by VOV re the
noise issue at Cafe Bleu. AB will write a letter to Jan
Yenawine, Mayor of VOV, asking about the status of this
issue.
