FEBRUARY 2, 2004 VNA BOARD MEETING
(Approved by board)

All Board members were present.

Joy Haynie, Carrie and Frank Carter were guests.

Ken Beck suggested that since we had guests that we skip
ahead to the Roads business that they wished to discuss.
The subject being the signs at the bottom of Bullick Hollow.
Specifically the signs behind the right of way but in front
of the fence on Travis county preserve land. Walt T. had a
discussion with a county official who stated that if a
complaint , or enough complaints were made, the county would
take signs down. Further discussion was held, and decision
was made to wait on taking any action at this time. Both
Ms. Haynie and the Carters expressed their concerns at this
time.

LAKE TRAVIS COMMITTEE: no new information

TREASURER'S REPORT: BM stated there was $3685.35 in the
treasury, and 41 paid members of VNA for 2004. Report was
approved as read.

SECRETARY'S REPORT: approved as ammended and read.

BUSINESS/DEVELOPMENT: no new information (see last month
for latest information).

MEMBERSHIP: SB stated we have 8 new members this month. She
suggested that membership checks come to her first so she
can get accurate addresses, and then pass on to treasurer.
Approve by the board.

ROADWAY/SAFETY
AB, along with VOV mayor JY, looked at the l.9 miles on Lime
Creek R. that is unclaimed property. JY stated to AB that
he didn't know who it belonged to. VNA board decided after
further discussion, that no further action can be taken by
our board. AB stated that a letter has been sent to
Commissioner Daugherty re Bullick Hollow's safety. Any
action on this is still pending. The board will contine to
document accidents along this road.

COMMUNITY RELATIONS
BULLETIN BOARD: SB stated board continues to be used by
Volente groups.

VIVA VOLENTE: After some discussion, the board decided not
to take and active part in the celebration held at election
time. This pertains to the board and not individual
members.

ROAD CONSTRUCTION: Board discussed new road construction in
Cedar Park, VOV, and Travis County.

LOST PETS: Board had an ongoing discussion about lost pets,
and ;how to deal with this on an individual basis.

WEB PAGE/VNA NEWSLETTER Board discussed fact that there is
no advertising on the Volente web page, and that the YaYa
letter, as well as all others pertaining to local news, can
be used without advertising.
VNA newsletter should be sent out 2 weeks before the April
annual meeting. Topics to include in the letter were
discussed. One topic concerned the speakers for the
meeting. KB suggested our county commissioner. Board
decided that we should ask him to address specific issues.
Sjome of the issues mentioned were: the intersections of
2769 and 620, Anderson Mill Rd. and 620, Bullick Hollow and
520, and the extensions and additions to Anderson Mill RD.
Predident Al Blunt will send letters to County Commissioner
Gerald Daugherty and VOV mayor Jan Yenawine inviting them to
our annual meeting.
