LAKE TRAVIS COMMITTEE:
Private Dock Ordinance: Walt Thompson reported that the private dock ordinance probably won’t be out until September.

Cafe Bleu: David Springer reported that he and Alan Blunt met with lawyers and that the lawyer/client privileges concerning this issue would be respected. David reported that the law firm believed that all VNA members were legal beneficiaries of the contract and could sue for breach of contract as individuals or groups of individuals. The VNA, as an organization, plans no further involvement at this time. Individual VNA members should consult with their attorneys regarding possible remedies.

BUSINESS-DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE:
Chairman Scott Crossett was absent and no business was discussed.

ROADWAYS-SAFETY-COMMON AREAS COMMITTEE:
Lime Creek Roadway: This issue was brought to the Board’s attention, and after discussion, the Board decided to ask Scott Crossett to refer this issue to the attention of the Village of Volente. Walt Thompson volunteered to call the County to find out if they are responsible for this section of Lime Creek Road. The Lime Creek roadway in question runs from 8502 to 8510 Lime Creek road. The Board’s intent is to bring the issue before the appropriate parties that something needs to be done.

Park: The Park across from the Fire Hall is looking good. Ken Beck volunteered to check into having the grass mowed.

COMMUNITY RELATIONS COMMITTEE:
BULLETIN BOARD: Susan Breyer reported that the Bulletin Board is checked every few days. Items posted will now carry removal dates. Walt Thompson volunteered to take over responsibility for the Bulletin Board during Susan’s absence. Walt suggested that notices of interest to our area from the City of Austin should be posted and the Board agreed.

VNA Website: The Board acknowledged the great job Lonnie Moore is doing for the VNA website. Susan Breyer made a motion, seconded by Ken Beck, to reimburse Lonnie for direct expenses incurred by him in VNA’s behalf. Motioned carried. Bob is to check into this.

Volente.net: The Board asked Ken Beck to check and see if this web site is still operating.

NEWSLETTER:
Mary Pomplun reported that procedures have been established for the mailing of the VNA Newsletters. These procedures will be sent to Lonnie Moore for filing. She reported that the VNA has a credit with the Leander Post Office in the amount of $94.19 after this last mailing. Susan is to bring a list of the VNA members to the next meeting for the Board’s review.

There being no further business, Walt Thompson made the motion to adjourn, seconded by Ken Beck. Motion carried.
