Incorporation Update: Dan Smith, agent for county judge Biscoe, presented the petition for incorporation by SOV to the county commission. An SOV attorney was present. Judge Biscoe ordered the application be sent to county attorney to check for legal sufficiency. Judge Biscoe then ordered a public hearing on 12/10/02 at 9AM at the commissioner's court, 314 W. 11th Street, to decide on a 2/1/03 vote. WT will ask Lonnie Moore to post notice of the hearing on Volente.org website and send out an email notice to the Volente mailing list. All were in favor.

VIP Marina - WT heard a rumor that Rick Redmond is within 1 week of selling the VIP to the owners of the Lakeway Marina. WT will pursue details.

· Membership Committee: EM chair

97 paid members

· Roadway and Safety: AB chair.

As promised by the county, roadway signs warning of blind driveways were placed on Bullock Hollow. Thanks were sent to the commissioner and county engineers for prompt response to our request.

2769 Guardrails - still no response on letter to county sent 60 days ago complaining that recently installed guardrails are cutting off shoulders and making head-on collisions harder to avoid.

· Community Relations - LB chair

Bulletin Board Discussion - AB reported that contractor bid over $2000 for bulletin board. All opposed spending that much and additional bids are being sought from local businesses. Construction is to 4'x6', cedar, plexiglass door, lock, weather proofed, varnished, set on 4x4's in concrete, including 3"x5" brass plaque with builder's name. DS contacted Ken Miller of "Just Fix It" on Lime Creek Road and Ken said he would do the job for cost of materials and nothing more.

Pet Alert - AB will contact Ranger Dan about the problem with dead & missing cats and give him a compiled list of the information we have to date.

Newsletter - will be completed in two weeks with contents including incorporation update, LCRA cleanup, and the missing pet situation.

Volente Park Update - KB to contact Bulmaro Gonzalez to get an estimate on building a rock wall to prevent erosion. An additional $200 was authorized in addition to the $230 remaining budget for the park project.
