WT called the meeting to order at 7:10 PM.
· New Business
Board Attendance - WT moves that 4 board members plus 2 proxies from absent members qualify as a quorum. AB seconded and all were in favor. No other new business.

Bulk Mail Permit purchased w/Newsletter
· Lake Travis Committee: BK chair
BK found a loose dock in Cypress Creek and could not get anyone to investigate. It's gone now. Jones Harbor has a 52-slip marina permit approved. North Lake Hills has a 24-slip marina permit approved. The private dock ordinance being developed by the LCRA will be completed no earlier than the end of this year.
· Business & Development Committee: WT chair
Jackson Street Marina Update - Sandy Creek Yacht Club owns underwater land extending out to Starnes (Snake) Island as part of land purchase from the Reed Estate.
LPA Meeting - The Volunteer Fire Dept is reserved at 7PM on August 27th for a meeting to inform Volente residents and others interested about advantages and disadvantages of Limited Purpose Annexation versus incorporation or no incorporation. A COA (City of Austin) representative will attend as well as a representative from the Commanche Trail Neighborhood Association. Commanche Trail is an LPA. EM motioned to send a postcard to the VNA mailing list two days prior to the meeting, AB seconded, and all were in favor.

· Roadway and Safety: AB chair.
Roadway Flooding - Possibility for a culvert at Navajo Pass.
2769 Road Clearing - Texas Dept of Transportation is clearing roadsides for improved visibility due to safety concerns.
Volente Beach Club Parking - Travis County red-tagged VB additional parking access road (Short Street).
· Community Relations - LB chair
Commanche Trail Neighborhood Association (CTNA) alliance was discussed but their meeting time is the same as the VNA so no cross attendance is possible at this time.
Arrowhead Flooding - LB called Precinct 3 and had someone
come to look at it from Roads and Bridges who need permission to route water
through private property. A county inspector is coming to look at cleared
areas to see if silt fences were removed too soon.
