Lake Travis clean up /Sandy Creek Park clean up LB
Lake Travis Underwater cleanup is scheduled by the LCRA for September 22 from
8-12 with hot dogs, tee shirts and door prizes at Carlos and Charlies following.
This would be a great time for Volente to take on the task of Sandy Creek
Park clean up. This will appear in our newsletter and info sent to our current
volunteers and perhaps a posting by Lonnie after information starts coming
from LCRA
Volente Beach parking on Short Street LB
VNA was approached by concerned citizens regarding the safety of a commercial
parking onto Lime Creek at somewhat of a blind corner. WT and LB visited the
site and agree it is a safety concern but has been approved by Travis County
with restrictions that VBC would have to improve Short Street to county codes
and have adequate line of sight to Lime Creek. Parking has been red tagged
at the parking site until compliance has been met.
