WT called the meeting to order at 7:15 PM.

WT polled board members for additional agenda items:

· Treasurer's Report: EM reported $4,934.59

· Lake Travis Committee: WT went to March 26, 2002 LCRA meeting on the private dock regulations. 3rd draft that is significantly different from 2nd. All lakes now have the same standards. LCRA expects a June 2002 date for going before the LCRA board for adoption.

· Business & Development Committee: VNA incorporation meeting - approx 50 people attended, presentations were given and there was significant discussion on many items, although the lack of SOV attendance caused some gaps in information. A survey was held and the results are available through the www.volente.org web page.

· Membership Committee: EM - 68 paid members for 2002. General membership meeting is scheduled for 4/9/02, 7:00 PM at VVFD. Margaret Moore the Travis County Commissioner will be the guest speaker. A flyer will go out as a reminder of meeting. EM motion and CS seconded that we have it catered (Rudy's BBQ) start serving at 6pm. Order enough food for about 80 folks - when it has gone, it's gone. Free for current VNA members and spouses/kids. Others $5. Cookies/pretzels will be available for others who don't want BBQ or are too late. Other items to be discussed include volunteerism, ballots/voting for new board and VNA activities in past year. WT wants to recognize Ranger Dan Chapman (Travis County) for his efforts with VNA on the Volente Park - VNA certificate of appreciation will be presented.

· Current board members who will run for another year - CC, WT, KB, EG, LB, EM (or Bob Mott) - new folks who will be contacted to urge them to run on the ballot - Dave Springer, Sue Ellen Jordan and Mary Pomplun.

WT: suggested Volente Spring Cleanup on April 27-28 - for neighbors to pick up trash on their own streets. Travis County will provide trash bags at fire hall on morning of cleanup. Full trash bags can be left at FM 2769 and county will come around and pick them up on Monday morning. VNA will look at getting "Volente Volunteer" T-shirts to give out to folks doing cleanup. CC and LB will get quotes on blue shirts with white lettering: VNA and logo on front "pocket" area, "Volente Volunteer" on back. 50 shirts (L and XL) not to exceed $500. CS will call on having a concurrent household hazardous materials collection pick-up (note: CS could not get waste management companies to agree since we are too far out and not enough volume).

Volente Park update: Robert Nelson is helping to move rocks for landscaping. LB needs large flat limestone for beds etc. Ranger Dan will approve vegetation plan - natives only.

· Roadways/Safety Committee: no report.

· Community Relations Committee: next newsletter will be left to new board. Possible items include article on Alan Breyer who does some great trash pick ups on Lime Creek Road, and Sue Spicer's article on recycling.

· Additional Items: Bruce Johnson's email - VNA board decided against letting him use the VNA mailing list to distribute invitations to a Republican "meet the candidates" event at his house. VNA cannot support one political party over another. All members in favor.
