Standing Committees reports
1. Lake Travis Committee CS (chair), JM, LS
Update on lake drawdown issues CS made a few comments on Lonnies
email update Travis Co Commissioners voted unanimously for resolution
in favor of equal and simultaneous drawdown. Also, Jonestown, Lago Vista,
Lakeway and Point Venture also passed same resolution. Llano County commissioners
voted against it. Issue still has to go before the LCRA board of directors.
Update on Private Dock standards LCRA are putting together a taskforce
to develop these, with representation as follows: one dock owner from each
lake; one local govt rep; one dock builder rep; one marina association
rep for a total of 8 members. If you are interested contact Jim Richardson
at LCRA (jim.richardson@lcra.org). Issues which will be addressed include
abandoned/dilapidated docks, navigable passage, anchoring, registration/dock
identification, property ownership, dock fees, grandfathering provisions,
flotation, insurance, lighting, electrical and size/height. First draft
is to be published for comment in January 2002. For more information go
to the LCRA web site at www.lcra.org

Hudson Bend Condos LB commented that VNA should try to address
the article in the latest Volente Wave re: these condos by pointing out
that this is really not related to Volente and wont impact Volente in
any way.
Volente Beach Update No further information available on parking lot development. VNA will pursue getting more information if a request from a member or resident is received.
3. Membership Committee EM (chair), EG, CC
No new members
4. Roadways/Safety/Common Areas Committee WT (chair), LB, EM
WT sent an email to Cedar Park re: Lime creek road shoulder erosion
but has not received a reply.
Navajo Pass/FM 2769 intersection eroding again (state jurisdiction).
Still needs a culvert to be installed. No success with state so far.
LC called Gretchen Vaden (Travis Co.) about resurfacing of Debbie
and Davy which was originally scheduled for Nov and has not occurred.
LB will call someone at the county roads dept to find out when this is
going to happen.

Park Update Park has been cleaned up by Bulmaro and his crew.
Robert Nelson will be clearing some parking spaces at edge of park. LB
will be getting with Tim Davis (former landscaper) to put together a plan
for planting and will forward that to Ranger Dan Chapman for approval.
KB will provide some big rocks from his development to help block road
access through park. LB has a group of volunteers organized who will initially
do planting and then get together about once a month for park maintenance.
Next newsletter topics LB needs items by Friday Dec 7th. Assignments are as follows: CS Lake Travis update & private docks; WT Baxter visit; KB his development; LS business update: KB/LB call for questions from neighbors/residents on incorporation.
Crime stats (LB) Cedar Park will get these updates to Lonnie
for posting on the web site.
Volente Sign CS talked to Henry at Anderson Mill Marina and WT
is to get with him 12/5/01 to decide on placement.
Commissioner Baxter visit very poor turn out (weather probably the cause). Baxter will only be commission for a short while since he (Rep.) has announced running for Texas House rep district 48, against Ann Kitchen (Dem). Will county appoint someone to serve as out County Commissioner in the interim? Survey for Volente Park will be reviewed by County to ensure that it is correctly staked out and marked.
Adjourn (8.30 pm)
