Call to order at 7:05PM

LM polled board members for any new agenda topics, none brought up.

Minutes of 3/7/00 meeting read by LM, motion to accept with minor typographical changes by JM, seconded by GP, unanimous vote in favor.

LM gave treasurers report.  Current balance $3819.59, (including dues to be deposited).

LM presented latest water sampling test for VB he received from Sallie McLaughlin.  This will also be posted to web site.

JM reported that the LTAP made a recommendation to LCRA to keep the panel or keep the new Stakeholder Committee, but no need for both.  JM is hoping to meet with the new LCRA contact for the LTAP to discuss further.  Also he reported the new estimated lake level for June 2000 to be 4 more feet down.

GP will be following up with the District Engineer regarding TX HWY 45 and HWY 620 as well as FM 2222 proposed road work, (widening).

Painting has begun on the VVFD, and a check will be cut to the Ladies Auxiliary as previously approved for $250 for the purchase of the paint and supplies.

LM will research the discrepancy in phone number to call to reporting a controlled fire.

There will be a run-off election at VVFD on 4/11/00.

LM reported there are 38 members so far with dues paid for the year 2000. This is about normal for this point in the year. There were more than 150 dues paid members by the end of 1999.

JM would like the issue of selling water and basin transfers to be discussed with Joe Beal at the VNA General Meeting on 4/25/00.

Joanna Green and Gerry Adams will not be running as board members next term. Anne Cole-Steichen and Gus Pacharzina are undecided, and will let LM know before 4/25/00.  Lonnie Moore, Catriona Smith, Jerry Mills, Sallie McLaughlin and Erika Mott will be running again.

GA made a motion to accept Sam Love, Walt Thompson, Dave Springer and Leo Slaton as candidates to be placed on the ballot for VNA board members, to be voted on 4/25/00.  GP seconded that motion, and it was accepted unanimously.

Two possible agenda topics for General Meeting that were discussed were, 1) VVFD announcements, such as volunteers needed. 2) Ladies Auxiliary announcements, such as May 6th Fish Fry.

GA suggested an advisory committee for the VNA consisting of past board members and people with similar knowledge of past events. LM suggested the easiest way to set it up was to create a committee (the Advisory Committee), with Gerry Adams as the first committee chair.

EM motioned for $150 to be approved to spend on refreshments for the VNA General Meeting.  GA seconded it, and it was a unanimous vote in favor.  SM and EM will buy and organize those refreshments.

LM will do reminder notice around 4/18/00.  SM was volunteered to copy those notices, and ACS was volunteered to fold, (if necessary), label and take to post office.
