GM – Lake Travis Committee – review of Lake levels data form Regional Water Planning committee. Projection for Lake Travis Y2000: 7’ down by June 1 (657') currently 663'; project 641' by 12/31/2000.
GM: Lake Travis Advisory Panel is looking for replacement panel members for those whose terms are up. LTAP talked with LRCA re: marina ordinance – commented on how the ordinance didn’t have any real power and LCRA always saying how they don’t have the authority to make real changes. LCRA may want to form another panel to take recommendations for changes to the marina ordinance and take them to the LCRA board. Should LTAP continue on in its current form or should it be changed?
Discussion re: Carlos & Charlie's (C&C) lease agreement with LCRA – they want to extend it for 30 yrs. (55 acre above water land lease). Current lease is for $80 000 and the question was raised about why it is such a low amount and whether the public should be allow to bid on the lease also.
Per the board's motion at last meeting, LM wrote to TWDB Sunset Review board supporting Highland Lakes request that the TWDB be discontinued. Copy of letter is posted on web site.
LM/EM – Sidewalk at VBC/VIP – work completed and some no-parking signs are up. But there are none further up Lime Creek Road. They need to go through the public notice process that will happen within the next two weeks potentially.
Wharf Cove boat ramp/road – county will not resurface (outside their limits).
VBC parking lot – work has stopped – but no permit has been applied for yet.
SMcL to check for recent water testing result from VBC.
LM – VVFD – Controlled burns are OK as long as you call the VVFD.
VNA membership – Year 2000 membership dues are due. 190-200 paid members should be possible.
April General Meeting – Joe Beal (new LCRA manager) is speaker and will start at 7.30. Refreshments at 6:30 PM. Need to cover business and voting before Joe Beal's talk.
