What is geocaching? It's an outdoor recreational activity in which participants use a Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver to find hidden containers, or caches, that generally contain a logbook and small items to be collected and traded. Geocaching is a fun and exciting way to spend a few hours out in nature and get better acquainted with the world around you.

No experience is necessary to participate! Our Sanctuary Steward will train participants to use a compass and GPS unit, which will be loaned to them for the event. There will be four routes with varying levels of difficulty, but participants must be able to walk 1 to 3 miles on potentially varying terrain.

Registrations are limited.Contact Chris at 512-219-8425 or christophermurra@hotmail.com with any questions or to register.
