                         Upcoming April Events in Volente
SATURDAY MORNING April 14th
Public Tours of Audubon Sanctuary on Lime Creek Road
 

Once a year, Baker Sanctuary opens to the public for guided tours. Trail walks this year will focus on Golden-cheeked Warblers, butterflies, plants, insects and the supporting habitat. Kids will take part in building nest boxes, making pine cone bird feeders, identifying birds and competing in games like a bird bean bag toss.

 

Admission is free! Trail snacks will be available during the walks, and a light lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. Visitors bring their own water bottles.

****ANNUAL VNA MEMBER MEETING & DINNER ****
 
SATURDAY AFTERNOON - APRIL 14th @ 3:00PM

On behalf of the VNA board, we would like to extend a big invitation to all of you to join us for our annual meeting and appreciation dinner at the Volente Fire Station on Saturday, April 14th, starting at 3:00pm in the afternoon with an interactive meeting ending with a catered dinner from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.
The appreciation dinner will be catered by Berryhill Grill and is for all new and existing VNA members and their families.
Following dinner the VNA board will hold a short meeting of all members to elect the board members for this coming year. All current board members are running for an additional term, but we are always looking for additional members to join us. If you are interested please call Ken Beck at 512-917-5188.

FISH FRY - Saturday, April 28th

SATURDAY, APRIL 28
Just wait until you sink your teeth into the best tasting fish this side of Bullick Hollow!

Cost: $9 per adult, $4 per child
Served 4:00 to 8:00PM
Meal includes catfish, cole slaw, fries, beans, bread, tea, coffee or lemonade.
Bake Sale - Beer and soda available
Raffle Prizes  
   
 
And stay to dance the night away with live music from Jim Nosler Band 8:00 - 11:00

More Helpers Needed For The Fish Fry

 
We Need Volunteers To Help The Auxiliary During The Fish Fry
 
We need folks to fill 2-hour shifts during the event to help with food prep, food serving, ticket sales, cleanup, etc.
Help your fire department by volunteering during the Fish Fry, our major fundraising event for VVFD.
