This sweet little male dog was wandering in traffic at this intersection. Looks like a Westie/Terrier mix. Has distinct light brown spot on rump. No tags or chip- only green collar. Call 512-585-5538.

TRAVIS COUNTY HUNTING ACTIVITY ON BCP LAND
Dear Preserve Neighbor:
As a landowner adjacent to Travis County's Balcones Canyonlands Preserve lands (BCP), this letter is to notify you that Travis County will be performing management activities on the preserve between November 1, 2009 and February 26, 2010 that will include shooting white-tailed deer and feral hogs.
The wildlife management program will be tightly controlled by Travis County Law Enforcement and Natural Resources staff in coordination with Texas Parks and Wildlife Department and will take place in locations selected to help ensure public safety. No public hunting is allowed on the preserve at any time.

Thursday, Nov 12, at noon will be the last luncheon meeting of the year for the Anderson Mill Gardeners. Our speaker will be Joey McCoy, President of the Austin Bonsai Society
. He is treasurer for the Texas State Bonsai
, which is building a living museum of Bonsai near South Austin.
Many people know his work as a jeweler at McCoy Jewelcraft, at the corner of Anderson Mill Rd and 183. He is an enthusiastic artist in both endeavors.
