Election Clerks Needed In Volente for Nov. 4th

Please let people in your email address book know that  I am holding the presidential election at the Volente Fire Station on Nov. 04 and desperately need five election clerks. The pay is $10.00 per hour plus 4 hours of paid training at the Election Center in Austin. The working schedule is from 7:00 AM to 7:30/8:00 PM for a total earnings of $170.00 for the day. It is a long day, but it will pass fast and the work is not hard at all.  Anybody who wants to work in this very important election and earn $170.00 for the day please instruct them to contact me immediately.

DELTA Urges Action on Deep Water Intake

Connie Ripley, Volente resident and intrepid member of DELTA (Don't Empty Lake Travis), urges quick action to help oppose Leander's water contract with LCRA, which is tied to the proposed BCRUA deep water intake. There is only a 30-day window for getting letters to TCEQ. For more information, see the CURRENT ACTIONS section of DELTA's website, www.draininglaketravis.org/
