Volente, Texas
Volente is a community of more than 600 families living in the beautiful Central Texas Hill Country along the north shore of Lake Travis.
The
center of the community, both geographically and culturally, is the Volente
Fire Department at 15406 FM 2769.
FM 2769, also known as Volente Road, is the single route through
the Volente area. At one end, FM 2769 connects to FM 620, both directly and
via Bullick Hollow Road. On the other end, FM 2769 connects to Lime Creek Road,
which continues to FM 1431 (Jonestown Road).
Most of the area known as Volente is within Travis County.
A portion of the community incorporated as the Village of Volente in 2003. Most
of the remainder is within the ETJ (Extra-Territorial Jurisdiction) of the City
of Austin, Texas.
